A woman has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after her arm was caught in a pasta making machine.

The woman, aged in her 20s, was working at pasta products supplier Fresca Cuisine in Malaga when the accident happened at about 12.40pm.

St John Ambulance paramedics called firefighters to cut the machine apart to free the woman, who was taken to Royal Perth Hospital about 1.20pm.

She is in a stable condition.
