Woman's remains found after three years
The remains have been found of a woman who went missing three years ago in Karratha just before the area was hit by a cyclone.
Tracey Margaret Marshall, 35, went missing from the Nickol Bay Hospital on February 21, 2011.
Within a day of her disappearance a red alert for a Cyclone Carlos was issued and a cyclone hit the area.
Three days later, Mrs Marshall's car was found abandoned about 45km south of Karratha on the Karratha/Tom Price Road.
A land search failed to find her.
In February this year the State Coroner ruled that Mrs Marshall had died.
On May 18, human remains were found below a transmission line pylon near where Ms Marshall's car was abandoned in 2011.
The remains have been positively identified as Mrs Marshall and her family has been notified.
A former high school teacher, Mrs Marshall moved to Karratha from Dalwallinu with her husband Iain Marshall in 2008.
