Mila Kunis is refusing to talk about unrest in her native Ukraine because she doesn't want to make headlines with her political views.

The actress, who is expecting her first child with fiance Ashton Kutcher, was promoting her new romantic drama Third Person during a phone interview with Stephen Whitty, from The Star-Ledger newspaper in New Jersey, when he attempted to broach the subject of the ongoing civil unrest in the Eastern European nation.

Kunis, who moved to the US with her family when she was seven, did not appear to appreciate the line of questioning and coldly responded: "I've talked about me moving to America in a hundred interviews. It's the most mundane subject possible. It was much harder for my 13-year-old brother, it was much harder for my parents.

"I know what your next question is so let's just skip it. You're going to ask me what I think about what's going on now in Ukraine. Just because I lived there until I was seven doesn't mean I identify with Ukraine."
