People were injured in a crash involving four cars and a truck in Henley Brook this afternoon.

The crash happened around 12.20pm on West Swan Road near Henley Street as storms hit Perth.

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said two injured people - including the truck driver - were removed from the vehicles and taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police said a woman was taken to Swan District Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Emergency services crews were kept busy today with several crashes reported.

Police issued a warning on social media urging motorists to be cautious on the wet roads.

"Heavy rain - please be careful on the roads today, especially in the wet," WA Police posted on their Facebook page.

"Leave extra room between yourself and the car in front, turn your headlights on and drive to the road conditions."
