Storm warning for south-west

A strong cold front is forecast to move over the south-west of the State tomorrow.

The front is expected to lie near the Southwest Capes and by sunrise move eastwards to Perth and then Albany by early afternoon.

By tomorrow evening the storm it is expected near Southern Cross to Esperance.

The passage of the cold front across the region will produce squally conditions with winds in excess of 125km/h.

The weather warning is for people from Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay.

This includes people in the Perth metropolitan area, Mandurah, Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, Augusta, Walpole, Albany, Mount Barker, Katanning, Narrogin, York and surrounding areas.

This is typical weather for this time of year but winds could cause damage t ohomes and make travel dangerous.
