Boy, man hit by cars

Boy hit by car outside school

A boy has been rushed to hospital after he was hit by a car outside Applecross Primary School this afternoon.

A Department of Education spokeswoman said the boy was riding his bicycle along Glenelg Street when he was struck about 3.30pm.

It is understood parents and a teacher administered first aid at the scene until paramedics arrived.

The boy was rushed to Fremantle Hospital where he is in a stable condition.

He arrived at the hospital about 4pm.

Toodyay crash

A man is his 20s is believed to have serious injuries after he was hit by a car in Toodyay this afternoon.

Just before 4pm a car was travelling along Toodyay Street near Telegraph Road when it struck the man.

The RAC Rescue Helicopter is transporting the man to Royal Perth Hospital, where he is expected to arrive by 5.15pm.
