Bikie charged after '200km/h chase'

Police have charged a senior member of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang after an alleged 200km/h police chase in Perth's southern suburbs.

It will be alleged the man sped off after police attempted to pull over his Subaru on Stock Road last Thursday.

The car allegedly reached speeds of about 200km/h as it was tracked from the air by the police helicopter.

"It appears the engine on the target vehicle experienced problems shortly after the police officers attempted to stop it and it slowly came to rest, at which point the police vehicles arrived and surrounded the (alleged) offender," a police spokesman said.

"It will be further alleged the accused threw items out of the vehicle as it was slowing down."

A 40-year-old Riverton man was charged with reckless driving that was dangerous to the public, wilful destruction of evidence and possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained cash.

He was also charged with offering to sell or supply a prohibited drug, namely testosterone, and two counts of conspiracy to sell or supply methylamphetamine.

He has been refused bail and will next appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court on Friday
