Police are investigating a report of a man acting suspiciously in Atwell yesterday morning.

WA Police this morning issued a media statement asking for witnesses but did not give details of the incident.

Man in red ute acosted girls in Atwell

"At around 8.15am, the man spoke to two girls walking along Folland Parade near Dunnage Court," a police spokeswoman said.

"It is believed the man was driving a red dual-cab utility.

"Police are conducting inquiries into the circumstance surrounding the report. Police would like to speak with the man to assist them with their inquiries."

The man is described as being fair skinned, approximately 170cm to 180cm tall with short dark hair.

He was wearing a blue Nike hoodie, black track pants and green Nike shoes.
