Emergency services tackle chemical spill

Emergency services are currently dealing with a chemical spill in Welshpool.

A DFES spokesman says around 200 litres of a corrosive substance, believed to be acid, leaked out of an isolation container at the Treasure Road business this morning.

He said fire crews were attempting to determine the source of the leak, but there was no threat to the public.

No roads have been closed.
