A 50-year-old Dianella man is due to face court this morning over the death of a Glendalough man earlier this week.

Detectives last night charged the man with assault occasioning bodily harm of the 62-year-old, whose body was found in his Cayley Street unit on Thursday night.

Police allege the two men were involved in an argument in the carpark of the unit block early on Sunday night.

The 62-year-old, who police identified as Weng Soon Ng, returned to his unit and later died.

Neighbours said the man lived alone after separating from his wife and kept largely to himself.

The 50-year-old is due to appear in Perth Magistrate’s Court this morning.
