2012 Olympic boxer Damien Hooper is set to face fellow Queenslander Josh Webb on the Dragon Fire card at Metro City next week.

Hooper (7-0) revealed on Facebook he was fighting the 30-year-old (6-2-1), who is unbeaten since losing his first two professional fights.

There was talk some opponents had been pricing themselves out of facing the former world amateur quarter-finalist.

Hooper, 22, should have too much class, speed and power for Webb, who won on his only other trip to Perth in September last year when Dave Letizia retired with a dislocated elbow.
