Stage and screen star Lisa McCune has dismissed reports about a rumoured sex tape starring her beau Teddy Tahu Rhodes as "baloney".

Woman's Day magazine reported this week that Tahu Rhodes allegedly appears in a sex tape with another woman.

But when asked about the rumours and her opera singer partner at a press conference for her latest musical the King and I, McCune waved off the speculation.

"Everybody is happy and Teddy is doing well," she said.

"To be honest I am having such a delightful time doing the King and I and that is my focus.

"It is not even worth talking about, it is such baloney and I'm just going to move through it."

McCune added: "I actually think it is quite funny because apparently I'm heartbroken which I'm not."

Tahu Rhodes is due to appear with musical theatre favourite Marina Prior this weekend at Hamer Hall to perform with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

McCune, a four-time Gold Logie winner, plays English governess Anna Leonowens in The King and I.

In Melbourne, she is performing opposite Jason Scott Lee as the King of Siam but will be joined by Tahu Rhodes for the Sydney season.
