Jenner defends wedding snub
Kris Jenner assumed Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles skipped her daughter's wedding because they were working.
The 58-year-old reality TV star has hinted she was surprised that the duo opted to enjoy a quiet weekend in the Hamptons instead of travelling to Florence, Italy, to watch their close friend Kanye West marry Kim Kardashian last month.
"(I) just assumed they were working," Jenner told a Sydney radio station.
Jay-Z and his pop-star wife were noticeably absent from West and Kardashian's lavish nuptials, following rumours the groom had asked Jay-Z to be his best man.
"There was so much commotion and excitement, I never really gave that a second thought," she said.
Insiders previously suggested that Jay-Z and Beyonce declined their invitation after her sister, Solange Knowles, attacked him in an elevator at a Met Ball afterparty in New York on May 5 because he was allegedly flirting with Kardashian's close pal Rachel Roy, who was a guest at the wedding.
