Teenager charged with armed robbery

Police have charged a teenager with allegedly robbing a Gosnells store at gunpoint.

The 17-year-old Cannington boy was yesterday charged with aggravated armed robbery over the alleged hold-up at Gosnells Mini-Mart on April 26.

It is alleged the boy was one of two males who entered store with their faces covered at about 7pm.

One of the pair is alleged to have pointed a firearm at the 32-year-old store owner, who was standing behind the counter, and demanded cash from the till.

The teenager is one of two boys charged over the incident after police charged a 17-year-old Canning Vale boy in relation to the incident on May 6.

The Cannington boy is due to appear in Perth Children’s Court today.
