Three men broke into a woman’s home as she slept and assaulted and robbed her in Carlisle.

About 3.30am on Tuesday, a 32-year-old woman was asleep when three men broke into her Raleigh Street home.

The woman was confronted by a man who punched her several times, threatening her and demanding her car keys.

Two other men were with the offender.

The man who assaulted the victim is described as being 19 to 23 years of age, olive skinned, about 170cms tall, of medium, athletic build with short dark hair.

He was wearing a dark, red coloured hoodie and dark pants.

The men arrived in a blue Subaru WRX and were seen leaving in the same vehicle from the address.
