Man found after two-day bush search

A man found today after nearly three days missing in bush near Beverley was in a critical condition.

Robert Fairchild, 21, was found today 2 to 3km from where he went missing.

He was reportedly in a confused state and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by helicopter.

Mr Fairchild was in a critical condition when he was found but he is now listed as in a stable condition.

The search for him resumed this morning after he went missing about 3am on Sunday.

He had not been seen since leaving an organised event on Yarra Road, about 7km from Brookton Highway in Flynn.

A police spokeswoman said he was last seen leaving the party and walking into nearby bush.

After a cold and rainy night, the police command post was set up today at Christmas Tree Well, about 500m west on Yarra Road, off the Brookton Hwy.

The police search today involved the Police helicopter, a fixed-wing plane, SES personnel, Police officers, Department of Parks and Wildlife personnel, Mounted Section and Dog Squad officers.
