Perth’s Caitlin Parker will be the first woman boxer to represent Australia at the Youth Olympics after the 18-year-old was yesterday selected for the Nanjing Games in August.

Parker, from the Fox’s Boxing Den, won silver at 75kg at the Youth World Championships in Sofia in April.

“I was happy with my performance, although there are a few things I can, and will, improve,” Parker said.
