Street race death charge
A 20-year-old Bentley man has been charged over a crash that killed a 19-year-old in Thornlie on Thursday.
Police allege the man was drag racing with International student Nadeem Khan, who was known to him, on Spencer Road at 11.45pm.
Mr Khan died at the scene after he lost control of his car and drove into a brick wall.
The Bentley man has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, having no authority to drive and driving an unlicensed car.
He has been released on bail and will appear in court on July 4.

The force of the crash sent bricks flying across 66-year-old Coral Farmer’s backyard and into the neighbouring unit.
"I just heard this almighty crash and I came flying out but all I could see were the headlights and the smoke," Ms Farmer said.
"The police were already there and they came running over yelling at us to get out of the house because the car was on fire."
Ms Farmer’s backyard resembled a demolition site after the crash.
Bricks were strewn 15m from the outside wall, wooden fences and gates were splintered, and trenches in the sand showed where the Commodore came to rest.
The ground was littered with the 19-year-old driver’s personal possessions, including CDs, water bottles and an empty packet of Tim Tams.

The car’s exhaust lay next to a headlight casing filled with petrol.
Ms Farmer, who shares the house with a friend, said she was shaken up by the incident and the fact the driver died.
She said firefighters cut the Commodore open and removed the man’s body in the early hours of the morning.
"It’s something we’ve been expecting for a long time along here, though," she said.
"They just use this road as a speedway."
