Stadium link short list announced
The State Government has short-listed four proponents to design and build the $54 million pedestrian bridge over the Swan River that will link East Perth to Perth's new stadium in Burswood.
Transport Minister Dean Nalder yesterday announced the four teams, Decmil-OHL Joint Venture, Freyssinet Australia, Georgiou Group and York Rizzani Joint Venture, would have 16 weeks to submit design ideas for the 400m bridge, which is part of the Government's plan to manage people moving to and from the 60,000-seat stadium.
Mr Nalder said the bridge, to be completed in December 2016, would help transport up to 14,000 people for every event.
