Pest attacks Brad Pitt

Ukrainian TV reporter and celebrity pest Vitalii Sediuk was led away in handcuffs after attacking Brad Pitt on the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of Maleficent.

Pitt was apparently unhurt and soon resumed signing autographs.

Witnesses saw Sediuk from the fan area jump over a barrier to the red carpet at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on Tuesday and rush at Pitt.

Security guards wrestled Sediuk across the barrier and called police, who arrived and led him away.

Pitt kept greeting fans and walked into the theatre.

The 50-year-old actor was at the event supporting his partner Angelina Jolie who stars in the new live action spin on Sleeping Beauty and shone on the red carpet in a leather Versace gown.

Phone and email messages for representatives for Pitt and Disney were not immediately returned.

Sediuk is notorious for trying to upset celebrities on the red carpet.

In the past he has been slapped by Will Smith for trying to kiss him on a red carpet, crotch-hugged Bradley Cooper at a premiere and stormed the Grammys stage during Adele's acceptance speech.
