Fatal crash at Waroona

A man has died and a woman airlifted to hospital after a crash near Waroona this morning.

The man in his 70s died at the scene after the car he was a passenger in crashed on South Western Highway, near Hall Road at about 10.15am.

Fire crews and the RAC Rescue chopper attended the crash and the car’s driver was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.

A St John Ambulance spokesman said she had possible spinal injuries.

Her injuries are not understood to be life-threatening.
