Man to stand trial over house party death
Callum Pinner

A man will stand trial over the murder of teenager outside a Doubleview house party last year.

Abraham Keung Cross appeared in Stirling Gardens Magistrate's Court this morning, where he pleaded not guilty to murdering Callum Pinner in October.

He also pleaded not guilty to unlawfully wounding another person on the same day.

Mr Pinner was allegedly slashed outside a party on Grand Promenade after a fight broke out in the street about 1.30am.

Partygoers reported seeing the accused and another stranger loitering in the area earlier in the night.

Mr Pinner, a 19-year-old personal trainer, was one of about 60 guests at the house.

His friends tried desperately to save him after the alleged stabbing but his injuries were too severe.

Mr Cross was remanded in custody and will appear in the Supreme Court on August 4.
