Shuey takes another rest from Eagles

Shuey takes another rest from training

Luke Shuey sat out West Coast’s open training session for the second week in a row at Patersons Stadium this morning.

The key midfielder wandered out towards the end of the session and had a long chat to captain Darren Glass before leaving the track again.

Shuey also failed to train last Tuesday but still took his place against Collingwood on Saturday.

Chris Masten, who was substituted out of the Eagles’ loss to the Magpies, was out on the oval prior to most of his teammates but then only did some minor work and kicking before going off.

The players who are to line up in tonight’s Foxtel Cup clash for East Perth, such as Dom Sheed, Simon Tunbridge and Adam Carter, were also absent.

Fresh from losing parts of his two front teeth against the Pies, Elliot Yeo was doing his best to keep his mouth closed, but still trained slowly in consistent rain at Patersons.

Injured vice-captain Beau Waters watched on from the sidelines with his right shoulder in a sling after having surgery recently.
