Esperance child exploitation charge

Child exploitation charge for Esperance man

An Esperance man is expected to face court next month after detectives charged him with possessing child exploitation material.

A public tip-off in December last year saw police raid the 42-year-old’s Esperance home and seize numerous media storage devices.

Analysis of their content saw police charge the man with possessing child exploitation material and possessing or copying an indecent or obscene article.

He is due to appear in Esperance Magistrate’s Court on June 10.

Anyone with information on child abuse or exploitation is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, while further safety tips can be found at police.wa.gov.au.
