A woman was injured after being abducted from her Lynwood home and held prisoner in her own car by two intruders.

The victim was tied up and forced into the back of her car by the intruders who broke into her house early this morning, Channel 7 reported.

The woman, who suffered a 9cm cut to her head, was held captive for several hours and driven to different locations before managing to jump from the moving vehicle at about 11am. The white Holden Commodore was later found dumped in Huntingdale.

Police believe the woman knew her attackers and the abduction could be linked to a dispute between them.

The two people who held her captive remained on the run last night.
