Clooney considering kids: report

George Clooney can't wait to be a daddy, according to reports.

The actor famously made a $10,000 bet with Michelle Pfeiffer back in the 90s that he would never have children. But since becoming engaged to British lawyer Amal Alamuddin last month, the 53-year-old has apparently made a complete U-turn on his stance regarding children.

"George never wanted to have kids before. But he knew right away that Amal would be the perfect mother," a source told the US edition of OK! Magazine.

The Monuments Men star and his 36-year-old fiancee are reportedly planning a September wedding. The ceremony is rumoured to be taking place at George's home in Lake Como, Italy, and according to the source, the couple are hoping their offspring will already be on its way by then.

"[They are trying] and don't care whether she's a pregnant bride," the insider added.

Many of George's close Hollywood friends have children, including Ocean's Eleven co-stars Matt Damon, Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt. While the former eternal bachelor had previously watched from afar while they raised their offspring, since meeting Amal, George is keen to get hands on with his own family unit.

"He even told his friend Brad Pitt that he finally understands Brad's drive to be a daddy," the source told the publication.

Amal is apparently just as keen to start a family as her fiance. The Beirut-born beauty is close to her relatives and is keen to provide her parents with grandchildren.

"[Amal] definitely want kids asap. Her father is getting older and he really wants to see her kids [before he dies]... Out of all his kids, he's especially proud of Amal," a source previously told Radar Online.

"It would mean the world to him to see her become a mum."
