Thief kicks in doors, steals car
Police are looking for a thief who kicked in the front doors of two Highgate units before stealing a car this morning.
A man entered a Smith Street unit after kicking in the front door about 6.40am but fled after seeing a woman inside the property.
A short time later the same man kicked down the door of another unit in the street. He stole a purse and fled in the resident’s blue 2006 Honda Civic, registration number 1CNV407.
The offender is in his mid 20s, about 178-180cm tall with fair skin, short brown hair and facial stubble like a short beard.
He wore a black hooded jumper and dark pants.
