Cirque's Totem for Perth

Cirque du Soleil is heading to Perth again next year, this time with its latest show Totem under the trademark blue-and-yellow big top at Belmont Racecourse.

Totem, directed by theatrical leading light Robert Lepage, is described as a journey into the evolution of mankind and will open on July 31 next year. Its Australian tour starts in Sydney in October.

Pre-sale tickets are available online now to Cirque Club members and general public tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am.

Created in 2010, Totem features 45 acrobats, actors and musicians and won the New York Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience last year.

Exploring science and legend on a stage in the shape of a giant turtle, the show traces the human journey from its original amphibian state to its ultimate desire to fly.

Totem tickets are available through cirquedusoleil.com/totem or 0011-800-1-548-0000 toll free.
