Drug charges after Sorrento raid

A 24-year-old man has been charged with drug offences after a raid on his Sorrento home.

Warwick detectives executed a search warrant at a Parnell Avenue address on Wednesday night where they allegedly uncovered a loaded sawn-off shotgun and approximately 50g of methamphetamine.

It is further alleged the man was in possession of ammunition, 39 ecstasy tablets and small quantities of heroine, cocaine and cannabis.

He has been charged with three counts of possessing a prohibited drug with the intent to sell and supply.

Further charges relating to the weapon are pending investigation.

The man has been remanded in custody and will reappear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on May 9.
