Steven McGarry is likely to form part of a restructured Perth Glory football department next season after the club confirmed he was not offered a playing contract extension.

McGarry is highly regarded by the playing group and could be employed as an assistant to new head coach Kenny Lowe.

The Scotsman played 26 games for Glory this season, scoring four goals.

Recently retired former captain Jacob Burns is also in line to be given an off-field role as the club looks to keep some of its best servants involved.
