Police are seeking the owner of a Volvo that caused a crash on the Mitchell Freeway before the leaving the scene.
At around 1pm on April 29, a white Volvo was travelling in the left lane of the Freeway in Edgewater heading north.
A Toyota Camry was travelling in the centre lane, with a Falcon ute behind it.
The Volvo changed lanes into the path of the Camry, causing the driver to brake heavily. As a result, the Ford Falcon ute collided with the rear of the Camry, causing it to veer into the left hand lane and into bushland and a tree on the western side of the freeway.
The Volvo continued travelling north, leaving the scene of the crash.
Although no one was seriously injured, both the Camry and the Falcon ute were damaged.
The Volvo was an older shaped model. Police believe it may have entered the freeway via the Vincent Street on-ramp.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or can identify the vehicle can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
