Result burns up MKR fix rumours

Jessica Liebich and Bree May to face Chloe James and Kelly Ramsay in the MKR final.

Fans yesterday accused producers of staging the My Kitchen Rules finale so there would be a dramatic showdown between the fierce rival teams of WA "villains" Chloe James and Kelly Ramsay and Melbourne twins Helena and Vikki Moursellas.

But conspiracy theories were put to bed last night when it was South Australian mums Bree May and Jessica Liebich who were sent through to today's grand final cook-off, rather than the feisty Greek sisters who they went up against in the second semifinal match-up.

After James and Ramsay claimed the first spot in the final on Sunday, many viewers took to Twitter to suggest that the judges' scores had been rigged and the girls' semifinal opponents, surfer dads Paul Bullpitt and Blair Tonkin, had been robbed of a place in the top two.

Fans went on to suggest that the Perth cooks' victory was part of a plan by producers to smash the ratings by putting the well-travelled pals up against their arch nemeses.

Now with the twins now out of the running, James and Ramsay still have their toughest challenge ahead of them when they go head-to- head with long-running favourites May and Liebich for the chance to win $250,000.

In a previous round the outspoken WA pair said they would like to see the mums head home because they considered them to be their biggest competition.
