Major Crash investigators are seeking information about a crash that killed an 18-year-old man in Kalgoorlie-Boulder lat month.

On March 27 a Holden ute was travelling west on Ballast Road, Yilkari at 11.30pm when it left the road and collided with a tree.

An 18-year-old male passenger in the vehicle was killed. The 18-year-old female driver and a second male passenger survived the crash.

The driver left the scene and walked about six kilometres north, following a train line and dirt road towards Anzac Drive.

She was picked up by a truck driver who drove her to Kalgoorlie Hospital, arriving shortly after 4am.

Police would like to speak to the truck driver who pick up the woman and dropped her off at the hospital

Major Crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash or saw the ute prior to the crash
