Water Police rescued three men after their boat capsized off Rottnest last night.

The men were moored in Longreach Bay when their boat tipped over in choppy conditions just after 6pm.

Police Duty Inspector Dave Picton-King said one of the men managed to climb on top of the overturned hull before they were rescued.

The men were taken back to Rottnest, while the boat was towed to a safer mooring.
