Concern for Irishman missing in Leschenault

Update: A 54-year-old Irishman missing in Leschenault has been found safe and well.

Stephen Thomas McDonnell was last seen at a residence in Leschenault on April 17.

Mr McDonnell arrived in WA four days ago and was staying with his brother.

He is not familiar with the local area, and there were concerns that he may have become lost.

A member of the public saw a Facebook post and recognised Mr McDonnell.

He contacted police and told them he had previously spoken to him and given him directions.

Police officers deployed to the area and conducted further investigation and located him safe and well.
