A man has been charged with murder over a fatal stabbing at a caravan park on Monday evening.

Police had called for the public's help to find a car they believed may have been linked to the Orange Grove homicide.

The Holden station wagon was seen leaving the Crystal Brook Caravan Park on Kelvin Road soon after the incident and police warned members of the public not to approach the vehicle, but to call police immediately.

The appeal for the public's help to find the Commodore resulted in a call from a person who found the car in a side street in East Victoria Park.

"A man and woman were located in the vehicle and they were arrested without incident," police said.

"As a result of inquiries, the woman was released after being interviewed and no charges were preferred against her."

Major Crime Squad detectives charged the 33-year-old man late yesterday with murder.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in Perth Magistrate's Court today.
