Man's ear bitten off in Broome

A man had a chunk of his ear bitten off in a fight in Broome last night.

A police spokesman said a fight broke out between two men, both aged in their 40s, on Male Oval in Broome between 8pm and 10pm.

The victim, a 40-year-old Fitzroy Crossing man, attended Broome Police Station at 11pm covered in blood.

He was later admitted to hospital and is expected to fly to Perth for reconstructive surgery.

Police inquiries over the incident are continuing.
