Two men charged after crashes

A 24-year-old man has been charged after his four-wheel-drive allegedly veered to the wrong side of a Hamilton Hill road and smashed into a utility, leaving the other driver with serious leg injuries.

The woman, 42, driving the utility was taken to Fremantle Hospital early yesterday for emergency surgery on leg injuries.

Police charged the Coolbellup man with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.

He will face Fremantle Magistrate's Court on April 29.

Major crash investigators have also charged a driver over the death of a 50-year-old motorcyclist in Secret Harbour last month.

Police claim a 20-year-old man driving a Holden Commodore wagon collided with the motorcyclist at the intersection of Mandurah Road and Surf Drive on March 27. He died at the scene.

The 20-year-old, from Secret Harbour, has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death.
