Wanted man bumps in to cops

The driver of a stolen car is alleged to have collided with a police car while driving away from officers in Scarborough yesterday.

Police saw the stolen black Holden Commodore parked in a driveway on Hastings Street, Scarborough at about 1.30pm.

Officers blocked the driveway to prevent the driver from leaving.

Police allege the driver and three passengers drove on to the street, colliding with the back of the police car and causing minor damage.

Police found the vehicle at a shopping centre on Wanneroo Road, Balcatta later that night and apprehended four people in the area.

A return to prison warrant was issued for a 20-year-old Cloverdale man who was also charged with stealing a motor vehicle, reckless driving, failing to stop, having no authority to drive, failing to stop during an accident and possessing stolen or unlawfully obtained property.

An arrest warrant was issued for a 21-year-old Clarkson man who was also charged with stealing, aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm and criminal damage.

A 23-year-old Scarborough man was charged with having no authority to drive and possessing drug paraphernalia and a 21-year-old Armadale woman was charged with stealing a motor vehicle and providing false personal particulars.

The 20-year-old and 21-year-old men are scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrate's Court today and the 23-year-old man and woman are scheduled to appear on May 6.
