Teen threatened with scissors

A man has been charged after allegedly using a pair of scissors to rob a teenager yesterday.

A 33-year-old Yakamia man is alleged to have approached the 17-year-old boy at a skate park on Stack Street, Fremantle with a golf club.

It is alleged the man asked for a lighter and, when the boy refused, he threatened him with a pair of scissors and demanded his phone and watch.

Police allege the man was also involved in a burglary in Fremantle later that night.

The man has been charged with aggravated armed robbery and burglary and is scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrate's Court today.
