Holmes 'not dating' Segel

Aspokeswoman for *Katie Holmes *has denied rumours the actress is dating *Jason Segel *, insisting the speculation is "completely untrue".

Tom Cruise's ex-wife and the former How I Met Your Mother actor first met when she appeared as a guest star on the sitcom in 2011, and new reports suggest the actors have reconnected and embarked on a new romance.

However, Holmes' representative *Leslie Sloane * insisted this was not the case, telling Us Weekly: "The story is completely untrue. The two have not spoken since she appeared on How I Met Your Mother."

Holmes, right, was most recently linked to *Jamie Foxx *, while Segel split from Holmes' Dawson's Creek co-star *Michelle Williams *in February last year after a year of dating.
