A 28-year-old Gosnells man has been charged over a fatal crash in Wattle Grove on January 10.

Police allege the man was riding a stolen a red "postie" bike on Welshpool Road East with an 18-year-old passenger.

As the motorbike turned onto Hale Road it allegedly collided with a utility turning into the same intersection.

The passenger of the motorcycle died at the scene. The rider received serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

The driver and passenger of the utility were uninjured.

The motorcycle rider was charged with aggravated dangerous driving occasioning death, stealing, possessing stolen or unlawfully obtained property and no authority to drive.

He is scheduled to appear in Midland Magistrates Court on April 29.

Anyone with information about the crash or who saw either vehicle involved prior to the crash is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
