Designer Christie Blizzard has proved many hearts and hands can work together to achieve anything.

When Ms Blizzard heard about the Williams family, their story touched her like nothing else.

Courtney and Rob Williams were part way through renovating their Ballajura home when their eight-month-old daughter Maddie Rose was diagnosed with cancer.

"I didn't know the family but one of my close friends saw them at the hospital," Ms Blizzard said.

"When I heard about Maddie, I wanted to help.

"I offered to donate some stuffed toy deer heads for their home, but they said they had no home to go back to."

Ms Blizzard, a former reality TV star, used social media to co-ordinate a team of more than 100 tradesmen and home designers to finish the renovations.

The team donated more than $150,000 in time and materials over six weeks.

Mr and Mrs Williams were overwhelmed with emotion when they came home together for the first time since Maddie's illness.

"This is unbelievable - we are in awe," Mr Williams said.

"The past few months have been terrible, but we've had so many people help us through it."
