They parodied him and his fiance *Kim Kardashian *in a viral video but, rather than lambasting *James Franco *and *Seth Rogen *, below, it seems *Kanye West *is now keen to team up with the actors for a project.
The funnymen parodied the rapper's Bound 2 music clip, in which West and Kardashian ride through a desert on a motorcycle.
But Franco revealed their tongue-in-cheek parody was actually met by praise from West, who is interested in working with the duo.
"Kanye actually set up a call with me and Seth and we thought 'Oh my gosh, what's going on?'" Franco said.
"We got on the phone and Seth was like "What, are you going to yell at us now?'
"It was a surreal conversation; he was the sweetest guy and he actually had a proposal for us for the next chapter. Like Seth, James, Kim and Kanye kind of thing."
While Franco is keen to work with West on the project, he doesn't believe it will go ahead.
"It is so crazy," the This is the End star said.
"It involves Paris and his wedding. I don't think it will ever happen though."
West and Kardashian are rumoured to be planning a wedding in the French capital later this year.
Meanwhile, Franco has apologised for an Instagram flirtation with a 17-year-old that landed him in hot water last week. The 35-year-old actor was caught trying to pick up Scottish teenager *Lucy Clode *on the photo-sharing app.
But he has now admitted he used "bad judgment" and learned his lesson and said he was "a model of how social media is tricky".
