Mum 'hit 127km/h with baby on back seat'

Leeman police have charged a woman in her 40s after she was allegedly caught speeding with a baby in the back seat.

Officers pulled over the woman as she travelled on Indian Ocean Drive from Geraldton to Perth.

She was clocked travelling at 127km/h.

She also allegedly had an unrestrained 11-month-old child in the rear of the vehicle.

The driver was fined $650 and incurs six demerit points for the two offences.

According to the Leeman Police the driver was “not very remorseful” over her potentially deadly actions.
