Murder charge over Dandalup death

Homicide detectives have charged a 47-year-old man with the murder of a mother of three at her North Dandalup home early yesterday.

Paramedics and police found the badly injured woman when they were called to the McMahon Road property about 2am but despite their desperate efforts, she died at the scene.

The man, who had allegedly been in a relationship with the 50-year-old woman, will face Mandurah Magistrate's Court today.

Major crime squad detectives yesterday refused to reveal how the mother of three died or whether a weapon had been used.

Anyone with information about the woman’s death or anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the semi-rural area overnight Wednesday is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
