WA's day of road carnage, during which three men have died, has continued with an 86-year-old man fighting for life after his gopher was struck by a car in Willetton this morning.

The man was crossing Acanthus Road when he was struck by a silver Hyundai hatchback at about 11.40am.

He was taken to Fremantle Hospital in a critical condition.

It is understood the driver of the car was a mechanic testing the vehicle for a customer.

The crash follows the deaths of three men in two accidents earlier today.

Two men were killed in a horror collision between two vehicles at the intersection of South and Carrington streets in Hilton at 2.10am.

A 20-year-old man died at the scene and another man, aged 23, was taken to Fremantle Hospital with critical injuries. He died this morning. Both men were rear seat passengers in the Mazda.
