Murder charge over stabbing
One Arm Point, north of Broome.

A 44-year-old woman will appear in court today charged with murdering a 20-year-old man at a remote Kimberley community at the weekend.

Major Crime Squad detectives charged the woman over the alleged attack at the One Arm Point community, about 200km north of Broome.

Police were called to the remote community on the Dampier Peninsula about 3.40pm on Sunday.

The 20-year-old victim was found collapsed in the street after allegedly being stabbed in the chest during an argument at a nearby home.

The victim and his alleged attacker are known to each other but their exact relationship has not been released.

The woman is due to appear in the Broome Magistrate's Court today.
