Pedestrian killed on Roe Highway

A pedestrian was killed in High Wycombe last night when she was hit by a car on Roe Highway.

The crash happened in the northbound lanes near Maida Vale Road about 9pm.

A police spokesman said it appeared two people had been arguing in a white Subaru on the side of the road before the crash.

He said the woman ended up on the road and was hit by another car.

It is not yet clear whether the woman was the driver or a passenger in the car.

The northbound lanes of Roe Highway were closed between Maida Vale Road and Kalamunda Road for several hours overnight.

Police will interview the driver of the car that hit the woman as well as the man who was in the Subaru with her before the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the Subaru parked on Roe Highway is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Minutes earlier, police were called to a separate crash at the Roe Highway and Morrison Road intersection in Midvale.

St John Ambulance officers took one person to Swan District Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
