Now that they have survived the fiery competition that is My Kitchen Rules, *Uel * and *Shannelle Lim *feel their marriage can withstand anything.

The NSW newlyweds were kicked off the Seven show last night but say life feels like it is only on the up now that their relationship has weathered the storm of stress that comes from being on the smash reality cooking quest.

The current season has been peppered with more controversy than ever, with talks of cheating, affairs and a closeted marriage all coming to light in recent weeks. But the Lims were one of the only teams who made it out with an untarnished reputation - something the youth workers are extremely "grateful" for.

"It is a huge blessing," Uel, 25, told _Access All Areas _.

"We are very flattered that people like us and they laugh at our jokes. It's a big compliment to us."

Ever the diplomats, the couple also weren't prepared to dish the dirt on their fellow teams.

While Shannelle cited Tasmanian pals *Thalia Papadakis *and *Bianca Johnston, *and last week's ousted Melburnians *Harry Curtis *and *Christo Gibson *as their best mates on the show, she said they didn't have anything against their other kitchen rivals.

"I think there were just some teams we didn't get to know as well as others," the 23-year-old admitted.

"But everyone was friendly; it was like a fun family."

Speaking of family, expanding their own is a top priority for the lovebirds now they can go back to their normal lives.

Passionate about helping other young people through their day jobs, the pair agree that having children is very important to them both.

"We both want lots of kids so we will have to get started soon I suppose," Uel laughed.
